I’m Stephanie. My husband is Jim, and he’s a stay at home dad. Our son Sebastian, was adopted from FANA in Bogota Colombia when he was 3 months old, back in 2006. That makes him 3 now, and that makes us parents of an often irrational but altogether lovable little person. I struggled with infertility for several years, with 3 failed attempts at IVF back in 2003-2006. That’s when I got into blogging, and interestingly, when I learned to knit. The support system I found through infertilty, adoption and craft blogs is a huge part of what got me through those times. That hard emotional road was followed by an even more emotional journey to adopt our son. All of the drama is behind us and we’re just a regular old family now. We’re just starting the process for a second child, but whatever you do, dont ask me about it because it just makes me cranky. Im in a different place now and all that paperwork and check writing just gives me a headache.
I’m sure I’ll be blogging about the second child once things start heating up, but for now I use the internets to find inspiration for my creative endeavors. And to complain about the trevails of potty training.
Glad I found your blog again. I followed your adoption journey as we were in our second adoption. Loved your dum-dum bouquet in this blog….I think even I, a non-crafty person could do that!!! Keep those projects coming!
Thanks for taking the time to leave your lovely comment about the loss of of our cat. All the support has been really wonderful.
Take care.
